"Japan-EU Digital Partnership Public-Private Workshop"
On October 17, 2022, the "Japan-EU Digital Partnership Public-Private Workshop" was held jointly by JEITA, JBCE (Japanese Business Council in Europe), DIGITALEUROPE, and with the support of the Japan-Europe Industrial Cooperation Center.
At the Japan-EU Summit in May this year, the "Japan-EU Digital Partnership" was launched. This workshop brought together the public and private sectors for the first time since the establishment of the Digital Partnership. We exchanged opinions on various aspects related to digital partnerships, such as issues public-private expectations toward the partnership, and future directions of digital partnerships. Lively discussions were held on the areas of semiconductors, data distribution, and 5G/Beyond 5G, which are a particularly high priority in digital cooperation between the two regions.
